Department of Hospital Administration, AIIMS, New Delhi
All-India Institute of Medical Sciences was established as an institution of national importance by an Act of Parliament in 1956 with the objects to develop patterns of teaching in Undergraduate and Post-graduate Medical Education in all its branches so as to demonstrate a high standard of Medical Education in India; to bring together in one place educational facilities of the highest order for the training of personnel in all important branches of health activity; and to attain self-sufficiency in Post-graduate Medical Education.
The Department of Hospital Administration, AIIMS is the pioneering department providing training to the country’s hospital administrators in the science and art of hospital administration and management. The department introduced the specialty of Hospital Administration for the first time in the country in the year 1962, and has since evolved into a center of excellence for teaching, training and research in the field of Hospital Administration and Management.
Academy of Hospital Administration NOIDA
Academy of Hospital Administration (AHA) is a professional body of qualified hospital administrators & managers, public health systems experts, hospital planners & consultants ,academia & faculty members from India & abroad. AHA was conceptualised by Late Prof R. P. Sinha, the then Professor and Head of Department of Hospital Administration along with Dr. A. N. Safaya, the then Medical Superintendent of All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Established on 16th February 1987 under the Society Registration Act 1860., AHA was initially located at Dept. of Hospital Administration, AIIMS, New Delhi and later shifted to its own building, AHA House, Institutional Area, Sector-62, Noida (U.P.)
